Club Náutico
Club Náutico is a waterfront sports facility in the Anaga area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife offering comprehensive amenities for water activities and athletics. The facility includes sailing areas, swimming pools, tennis courts, frontón courts, and dining spaces where visitors can engage in various sports or simply relax with views of the bay.
The club was founded in 1902 as Club Tinerfeño and received the royal title 'Real' from King Alfonso XIII in 1906. It has occupied its current location since 1941, when facilities were expanded to include pools, tennis courts, and other sports amenities.
The club serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors come together to enjoy water activities and build community bonds. You can see families and friends meeting for swimming sessions, sailing races, and social events throughout the year, creating a lively hub centered around the sea.
The facility is easily accessible on foot and has different areas suited for both beginners and experienced athletes. It is best visited during daytime hours when most activities are in full operation and facilities are fully available.
The club was a founding member of the Spanish Basketball Association, and its basketball team competed in Spain's top league for many seasons. It also organizes the Regata Infantas de Espana annually, one of the region's most important sailing races.
