Termalni vodeni park Aquae Balissae

Aquae Balissae is a thermal water park in Daruvar featuring multiple pools at different temperatures and depths for various uses. The facility includes designated swimming areas, recreational zones, and specialized sections for water-based fitness and therapeutic activities.

The park opened in 2007 and draws from the same thermal springs that attracted Roman settlers who established a settlement called Aquae Balissae. The facility's name preserves that historical connection to the region's ancient past.

The facility serves as a social gathering place where locals come for wellness activities and leisure time. It blends traditional bathing customs with contemporary wellness approaches that reflect the region's spa heritage.

The facility is located on Frana Krsinica Street and operates on specific weekdays with separate pools designed for different activities and age groups. Visitors should bring appropriate clothing for the season and check water depths before entering specific pools.

The mineral-rich spring water emerges at a natural temperature of about 46 degrees Celsius (115 degrees Fahrenheit), requiring cooling systems before entering the swimming pools. This exceptionally hot geothermal water results from the unique geological conditions beneath the city.
