Terma Bania, Thermal water park in Białka Tatrzańska, Poland
Terma Bania is a thermal bath complex in Białka Tatrzańska, southern Poland, and features fifteen water basins spread across indoor and outdoor areas. The geothermal water maintains a steady temperature range between 34 and 38 degrees Celsius, offering a space for swimming and relaxation.
Construction of the thermal complex began in 2009 with support from the European Regional Development Fund, aiming to promote geothermal recreation in the region. The facility was developed as part of a wider project to tap into underground resources in the Carpathian foothills.
The outdoor pools offer views of the Tatra mountain range and are fitted with timber elements from the Podhale region. Visitors move between warm water zones and cool outdoor rest areas, a practice that echoes traditional mountain habits.
The facility opens daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and is divided into several zones, including a Fun Zone with water slides and an adult-only Sauna Zone. Visitors should bring swimwear, towels, and non-slip footwear for the pool deck.
The thermal water rises from 2500 meters (8200 feet) underground at 78 degrees Celsius (172 degrees Fahrenheit) before being cooled for use in the pools. It contains sulfides, silica, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron, which give it therapeutic properties.
