Chalet 1400, Restaurant and hotel in Limone Piemonte, Italy
Chalet 1400 is a restaurant and hotel in Limone Piemonte, in the Piedmontese Alps of Italy, sitting at around 4,600 feet (1,400 m) above sea level. The building combines light wood and stone with modern comfort, and in addition to the restaurant it offers five guest rooms and a bar area.
Limone Piemonte has drawn mountain visitors since the early 20th century and grew into a known winter resort after World War II. Chalet 1400 was built in this context and has since become a regular stop for people visiting the area.
Chalet 1400 serves a reinterpreted version of the local "sinoira", a traditional Piedmontese afternoon snack that has been part of the region's food habits for generations. The restaurant terrace is a spot where guests naturally gather after a day on the slopes.
The chalet sits right on Via Panice Soprana, close to the Riserva Bianca slopes, so the ski runs are within easy walking distance. Summer visitors will also find hiking trails nearby without needing to travel far from the building.
Chalet 1400 rents ski and snowboard equipment directly on site, so guests can arrive without carrying their own gear. The rental is in the same building as the accommodation, which makes organizing a ski day straightforward.
