La Taverne Yamas is a Greek restaurant in the Gare district offering more than 80 dishes from different regions of Greece. The kitchen specializes in seafood, grilled dishes, and traditional recipes served in a spacious dining room and on an outdoor terrace.
The restaurant was established in 2016 by Chef Petros Gatsoulis, who previously ran another Greek restaurant in the city. He brought experience from earlier work in the Netherlands and Germany to his new venture in Luxembourg.
The name comes from a Greek word meaning "health" and the place celebrates Mediterranean dining through organic Greek wines and regional dishes from across Greece. Visitors experience how locals gather here to enjoy flavors from their homeland.
The indoor dining room accommodates about 100 guests, while the outdoor terrace has space for around 30 people. Both areas allow visitors to choose where they eat depending on the weather and their preferences.
The kitchen creates special dishes developed for its menu, including zucchini patties and meat skewers prepared with distinct Greek techniques. These house-made creations give visitors something they would not find at typical Greek taverns elsewhere.
