Villa Pauly, Mansion headquarters in Boulevard de la Pétrusse, Luxembourg
Villa Pauly stands at number 57 Boulevard de la Pétrusse, featuring architectural elements from Late Middle Ages and Renaissance castle structures.
During World War II, from August 1940 to September 1944, Villa Pauly functioned as the main Gestapo headquarters in Luxembourg under three successive leaders.
The building now contains the Documentation Center for Resistance Research, preserving records of Luxembourg's wartime resistance movements.
Visitors can explore the villa from Tuesday to Friday between 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM, with additional time slots available through appointment.
The basement vaults of Villa Pauly hold remnants of interrogation chambers where between 2000 and 3000 individuals were detained during Nazi occupation.
