Plage d'Anse Vinty

Plage d'Anse Vinty is a sandy beach along the northern coast of Basse-Terre with a sheltered cove setting. The shoreline has a natural amphitheater shape created by the surrounding geography.

Archaeological investigations have found evidence of settlements from pre-Columbian times along this coastline. The discoveries show that people lived and gathered in this area before European contact.

The beach is free to visit and open year-round for swimming and relaxation. Visitors should bring food and water since there are no shops or facilities nearby.

In 2020 the beach served as a training site for maritime rescue teams to test emergency procedures. This work helped strengthen coastal safety standards in the region.
