Plage d'anse feuillard, White sand beach in Capesterre-de-Marie-Galante, France.

Plage d'anse feuillard is a beach with light-colored sand and shallow water protected by a coral reef. A narrow path through tropical plants connects the parking area to the shoreline, where palms and local vegetation shade the sand.

The shoreline was a key port during colonial times for exporting sugar to Europe, shaping the local economy for centuries. This maritime past established the region as an important trade hub in Caribbean commerce.

The cove serves as a gathering place for locals who come to relax in groups and enjoy the quiet setting. The beach reflects how people here maintain a strong connection with the sea and their natural surroundings.

Free parking sits at the top of the path, and picnic tables under palms offer shaded spots to eat. The water becomes very shallow at low tide, making it more family-friendly depending on the time of day you visit.

Between May and September, sea turtles nest at this beach and are monitored by local wildlife protectors. This yearly return of the turtles makes the cove a place of natural importance for Caribbean wildlife.
