Conche de Nauzan

The Conche de Nauzan extends along a curved coastline shared between Saint-Palais-sur-Mer and Vaux-sur-Mer, featuring fine sand and small rocky formations.

This beach has evolved from a natural cove into a central recreational space, marking the development of coastal tourism in Charente-Maritime since the early 1900s.

The beach hosts summer music performances called Thursdays of Nauzan and regular night markets, creating a meeting point for local residents and visitors.

Visitors can access three wheelchair ramps, use seahorse chairs, and benefit from lifeguard supervision between June 15 and September 1, from 11 AM to 7 PM.

The coastal path connecting to this beach provides direct routes to both Royan and La Côte Sauvage, offering different perspectives of the Atlantic shoreline.
