Playa del Jablillo

Playa del Jablillo is a sheltered beach in Costa Teguise where a stone breakwater separates the shore from open waters, creating calm conditions ideal for swimming. The protected cove spans roughly 200 meters and offers clear water suitable for both beginners and experienced swimmers.

The site developed as tourism expanded on Lanzarote during the latter decades of the 1900s, with the stone barrier constructed to create a safe swimming environment. This transformation turned a simple coastal cove into a structured recreational destination.

The beach serves as a meeting point where locals and visitors gather throughout the day, creating a relaxed social atmosphere along the waterfront. The sheltered design makes it an accessible gathering spot for different generations and activity levels.

The beach has lifeguard coverage and provides sun lounger rentals along with shower facilities for visitors. Access is straightforward from the Costa Teguise waterfront promenade, making it convenient for a day visit.

When the tide goes out, natural rock pools appear along the shore, revealing habitats where visitors can spot starfish, crabs, and small fish without entering the water. These temporary pools change throughout the day, offering different discoveries with each tide cycle.
