Berck Plage

Berck Plage is a sand beach along the English Channel coast, stretching across several kilometers with fine sand and gentle slopes. Dunes covered with grass line the shore, and pathways run along the water's edge for exploration.

The settlement began as a small fishing village in the 14th century before transforming in the 1800s into a health resort. Maritime hospitals were established to treat patients using the healing properties of sea air and climate.

The beach hosts the International Kite Festival every spring, bringing people from around the world for aerial competitions. Locals and visitors gather here to share this long-standing tradition of flying above the sand.
