Plage de Port Fouquet

Plage de Port Fouquet is a sandy beach situated in a deep and wide cove facing northeast. The sand spreads across flat ground, with cliffs forming a backdrop along the shoreline.

The rocky sections of the beach show traces of transport tracks once used to unload granite during construction of the Citadel and Grand Lighthouse. These remains reveal the area's past role as a quarry and supply port for those major structures.

Local people visit this beach throughout the year for swimming and kayaking activities. The surrounding coves offer additional spots for exploration and spending time by the water.

The beach has showers, restrooms, and a children's club with lifeguards on duty during summer months. Facilities and access conditions may vary depending on the season, so it is worth checking ahead.
