Plage de Castoul

Plage de Castoul is a swimming beach in Le Palais on Belle-Île-en-Mer featuring fine sand and clear water along the northern shore. The space includes showers, restrooms, wheelchair accessibility, and lifeguards during summer months.

This beach was originally part of a customs patrol path used by officials working along the coast. The former route was later transformed into a walking trail that now connects different sections of the shoreline.

This beach serves as a gathering place where locals and tourists enjoy time by the sea in a relaxed way. Its simple setup and quiet character make it feel like an everyday retreat for swimmers and families.

The beach facilities are easily accessible from a parking area located about 250 meters away. Visitors should note that supervision and services are available only during the warmer months.

At low tide, small hidden coves such as Crique des Cures become visible, offering swimmers secluded spots to explore. These small pockets along the shore provide a different experience from the main beach.
