Spiaggia Colle della Palombaia

The Colle della Palombaia beach extends for 250 meters along the coast, featuring a mixture of sand and gravel bordered by white limestone cliffs.

This section of the Elban coastline has remained unchanged for centuries, with its granite staircase becoming an integral part of the local maritime infrastructure.

Local residents refer to this location as the Beach of Hundred Steps, reflecting the exact number of granite steps visitors descend to reach the shore.

Visitors can find parking at a dirt lot 2.5 kilometers from Marina di Campo, followed by a descent down the granite staircase to access the beach.

The beach maintains a water temperature suitable for swimming from April through November due to its southern exposure and protection from northern winds.
