Galenzana

Galenzana is a sandy beach on the eastern shore of Elba Island, stretching along a quiet coastal area. It features fine sand mixed with small pebbles and is backed by Mediterranean vegetation.

Ancient Etruscan communities near the area used local forests for iron production centuries ago. Cast iron fragments from this period can still be found scattered along the shoreline today.

The beach keeps its natural appearance without shops or facilities, showing how the island's coastline traditionally looked. Visitors experience the Mediterranean landscape the way locals have known it for generations.

You can reach the beach by walking a 1.5-kilometer path from Marina di Campo nearby. During summer months, you can rent umbrellas and deck chairs directly on the sand.

The bay's natural curve blocks views of the open sea, creating an enclosed cove feeling. The water stays remarkably clear and shallow for a considerable distance from the shore.
