Pixinnì/Piscinnì, Mediterranean beach in Domus De Maria, Italy.
Piscinnì is a Mediterranean beach on Sardinia's southern coast featuring white sand and clear water set against tall granite and clay cliffs. The seabed slopes gradually, creating shifting shades of blue from light turquoise near shore to deeper azure farther out.
The name comes from a Spanish watchtower built on the eastern promontory when Spain controlled the island centuries ago. This tower was part of the coastal defense network constructed during that period.
Fishing remains woven into the daily life here, with local boats working the waters and families maintaining practices passed down through time. The sea shapes how people in this area view their relationship with the land.
The beach is reached via the South Coast Panoramic Road with parking available within walking distance of the shore. It gets busier during warm months, so arriving early or visiting at quieter times of day works best.
The eastern promontory offers outstanding views across the entire bay and coastline, making it a quieter spot to escape the main beach activity. From this elevated vantage point, the whole cove spreads below you.
