Spiaggia del Quercetano

The Quercetano beach extends along 400 meters of coastline, featuring a combination of fine brown pebbles and clear Mediterranean waters against limestone cliffs.

This section of the Tuscan coast gained international recognition through its appearance in the 1960s Italian film Il Sorpasso, directed by Dino Risi.

Local fishermen maintain traditional practices at Quercetano beach, setting out their nets at dawn and returning with fresh catches for nearby restaurants.

The beach includes both free access areas and paid sections with loungers, while steep stairs from the parking area lead directly to the shore.

During specific winter months, the bay's position creates optimal surfing conditions, making it one of the few reliable surf spots on this part of the Italian coast.
