Spiaggia Caminia

Spiaggia Caminia is a shingle beach nestled between two rock formations along the Ionian Sea. The water is clear and shallow, sloping gently into the sea, with a mix of sand and small stones along the shoreline.

This beach connects to the nearby Cave of San Gregorio, associated with relics linked to a seventh-century religious figure in local tradition. The area reflects centuries of settlement along this stretch of coast.

The northern cliff named Torrazzo houses numerous marine birds and Mediterranean vegetation, creating a natural sanctuary for local wildlife observation.

The beach gets crowded in summer, so arriving early helps secure parking and a good spot on the sand. Several beach clubs rent umbrellas and loungers if you want to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Submerged rock formations create natural shallow pools and protected areas perfect for snorkeling. These features make the water feel like a series of small basins rather than a continuous expanse.
