The beach stretches for thirty meters with cream-colored sand flanked by granite rocks and offers views of Tavolara and Molara islands.

The beach received its name from the local cows that frequently rested on its shores during past agricultural times in Sardinia.

Located within the marine protected area of Tavolara-Capo Coda Cavallo, this beach represents the preservation efforts of Sardinian coastal heritage.

Visitors need to park 300 meters south of Cala Girgolu and walk for thirty minutes through Mediterranean vegetation to reach the beach.

The granite rocks surrounding the beach change color to different red tones during sunset, creating natural light effects on the water surface.
