Cala del Cuervo

Cala del Cuervo is a small beach tucked into a sheltered cove along the Mediterranean coast in Níjar. The waters here remain notably calm because the surrounding geography shields the shore from strong waves and currents.

The beach lies within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, established in 1987 as the first marine-terrestrial protected area in Andalusia. This protection has preserved the area over several decades.

Local fishermen continue their traditional practices in the waters near Cala del Cuervo, maintaining centuries-old Mediterranean fishing methods.

Access is possible via the AL-4200 road, with parking areas within walking distance. The best times to visit are early mornings or late afternoons when the beach sees fewer people.

The water maintains consistent temperatures year-round, making it a pleasant place to swim regardless of season. This feature makes the beach popular with local visitors for extended swimming sessions.
