Playa de Bolarque

Playa de Bolarque is an artificial beach along the Buendía reservoir featuring sandy shores and designated swimming areas for water recreation. The space is organized into different zones to accommodate both swimmers and people interested in water activities.

The beach came into existence after the Buendía dam was built, flooding the valley and creating an artificial water body where none existed before. This changed the area into a destination people could visit for recreation.

The facility has showers and changing areas where visitors can clean up after swimming or water activities. Parking is available on-site, and the beach is accessible during summer months with typical weekend crowding expected.
