Playa Villananitos

Playa Villananitos is a sandy beach in San Pedro del Pinatar that stretches for several hundred meters with gray sand and a waterfront promenade. The promenade is lined with palm trees and connects the shore to the village behind it.

San Pedro del Pinatar developed as a fishing settlement whose economic foundation has been the sea since the 18th century. Fishing continues to shape the life and character of the community today.

The village around the beach is shaped by fishing families who use the water as their workplace and livelihood. The craft of net-making and boat maintenance remains visible in daily life, giving the place its working character.

The beach provides showers, restrooms, and parking for visitors in convenient locations. Restaurants and rental services for umbrellas and water sports equipment are also available.

The Natural Park of Salinas and Sand Flats sits right next to the beach, where flamingos and other water birds regularly feed and can be easily watched. This mix of a bathing beach alongside a protected nature area is not common for this coastal region.
