Zurriola, Nude beach in San Sebastian, Spain
Zurriola is a sandy beach in the Gros neighbourhood with golden sand stretching roughly 800 meters along the waterfront and popular waves for surfing. The broad beach is divided into separate zones, some designated for nude bathing and others for families with children.
The beach underwent complete renovation in 1994, transforming from its previous state into a modern recreational space. This overhaul made it a centre for water sports activities and diverse leisure uses.
The Kursaal Congress Centre sits at one end of this beach, hosting the San Sebastian International Film Festival yearly and serving as a hub for regional cultural gatherings.
The beach has showers, restrooms, and lifeguard services ensuring visitor safety and comfort. Equipment rentals are available on site, and there is plenty of space for different activities and swimmers.
The water here offers reliable waves throughout the year, making it a training ground and competition venue for surfers in the region. Both experienced and beginner surfers return regularly because conditions remain consistent and varied.
