Cala del Aceite, Sheltered beach cove in Conil de la Frontera, Spain.

Cala del Aceite is a sheltered cove with golden sand bordered by natural limestone cliffs and Mediterranean vegetation. The beach stretches for several hundred meters and slopes gently into turquoise water.

The cove connects to traditional almadraba fishing, a method locals have used since ancient times to catch bluefin tuna. This fishing technique has shaped the local area for thousands of years.

The beach has sections for both clothed and clothing-optional swimmers, reflecting a Spanish coastal tradition where such zones have coexisted for decades. Visitors see how different bathing styles share the same shoreline naturally.

The beach is easily reached via steps from the upper parking area and has showers, toilets, and waste bins. The cove offers protection from wind, making it comfortable in variable weather.

A natural rock platform extends into the water and creates distinct zones for swimming and observing marine life. This formation allows visitors to snorkel right from the shore without needing a boat.
