Florya Güneș Beach is a public beach in the Basınköy Mahallesi neighborhood on the European side of Istanbul. It runs about 800 meters along the coast, with a mix of sand and fine pebbles, and the water is generally shallow and calm.
Florya has been a seaside destination for Istanbul residents for many decades and is considered one of the city's oldest beaches. Its reputation was cemented in the 1930s when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk visited and swam here regularly.
