Main Beach

Main Beach is a sand beach located along the southern shore of Otsego Lake in Otsego Lake Township. The shoreline features a wide expanse of sand that gradually slopes toward the water, creating shallow entry points suitable for different swimming abilities.

The beach area took shape following the establishment of Otsego Lake Village in the 1800s, a period when logging operations transformed the region's economy. The shoreline became a focal point as the community grew and settlement expanded around the lake.
