Borinquen Beach

Borinquen Beach is a sandy shore along the western coast of Puerto Rico, featuring a wide expanse of sand bordered by rock formations. Along the waterline sit several caves and water-carved chambers that shape the character of the coastline.

A Spanish colonial lighthouse once stood near this location, guiding ships through difficult waters in earlier times. The structure was deactivated in the 20th century and no longer remains.

The community sees this stretch of coastline as central to local life, a place where families gather for celebrations and everyday recreation. People from the area come here to connect with nature and spend time in the open air.
