Plage de la Grande Anse d'Arlet

Plage de la Grande Anse d'Arlet is a curved stretch of coastline with dark golden sand bounded by two rocky points. The water is clear and bright, and behind the sand a row of restaurants and bars brings the shoreline to life.

A small church from the 18th century, Saint-Henri, stands at the edge of the beach and has survived multiple storms, including Hurricane Dean in 2007. The building has been restored several times and remains a witness to the ongoing settlement of this coastal area.

On weekends, families gather at the shoreline restaurants to share meals and listen to music that reflects the Creole heritage of the island. The dining spots along the beach are places where you experience local food traditions and the generosity of the people.

The beach is easily reached via the coastal road D7 from Trois-Îlets and provides public restrooms and showers. The numerous restaurants and bars along the shoreline offer good places to rest and take meals.

The northern cove near Cape Solomon holds rich coral reefs and habitats for tropical fish that snorkelers can observe from the water. This underwater landscape is easily accessed from the shore, making it possible for beginners to explore the marine setting.
