Reach Falls

Reach Falls is a cascade in eastern Jamaica that tumbles into multiple jade-colored pools surrounded by thick forest growth. The water descends through several tiers, with each level creating its own quiet pool before flowing to the next.

The site was formally protected in the 1990s by Jamaica's Urban Development Corporation to preserve the natural features for future visitors. This deliberate effort marked the beginning of organized conservation and visitor management at the location.

Local people use this place for bathing and gathering, treating it as a social destination woven into daily life. You will notice families and friends enjoying the pools together, making it as much a community space as a natural attraction.

The site is easily walkable with paths leading down to the water pools on mostly level ground. Bring swimming clothes, wear grip shoes on wet surfaces, and watch your step around the rocks and slippery areas.

Behind the falling water sits a cave with a narrow opening that leads to an underground network of chambers. These hidden grottos add an element of exploration to the visit and reveal the hidden geology beneath the surface pools.
