Bawarka

Bawarka, a small bronze figure measuring 30 centimeters in height, depicts a female dwarf serving beer at the entrance of BierHalle restaurant.

The statue was installed on September 12, 2009, as part of the city-wide initiative to commemorate the anti-communist Orange Alternative movement through public art.

This female dwarf statue represents one of only eleven female figures among more than 300 bronze dwarfs scattered throughout the streets of Wrocław.

Visitors can locate Bawarka by following the tourist dwarf map available at information centers or by looking above the BierHalle entrance in Market Square.

The statue connects to local beer traditions and stands as a counterpart to another figure at OK Wine Bar, which holds an oversized wine bottle.
