Neptunek

Neptunek is a small bronze dwarf figure holding a trident and crafted with fine detail in the posture and facial features. The statue sits along the streets of the Old Town and captures the character of Neptune reimagined as a local figure.

The statue was installed on March 2, 2017, continuing a tradition that began in the 1980s when small bronze dwarfs first appeared as a form of resistance during that era. The movement evolved and eventually grew into the large collection visible throughout the city today.

This dwarf belongs to a collection of over 300 small bronze figures scattered throughout Wrocław, each representing different professions and characters drawn from Polish folklore and imagination.
