Krasnale Kibice, Bronze dwarf statue at Tarczyński Arena, Wrocław, Poland
Krasnale Kibice are small bronze figures installed in 2021 at the entrances of Tarczyński Arena, each standing about 40 centimeters tall. They wear football clothing with scarves and various fan accessories, positioned at the stadium entrances along Lotnicza and Królewiecka Streets.
The figures follow a tradition of dwarf sculptures in Wroclaw that started in 2005 as a reference to the Orange Alternative, a movement against communist rule. This artistic practice has since become a defining characteristic of the city's appearance.
These figures represent the bond between the stadium and the football supporters of the city, forming part of Wroclaw's widespread network of dwarf sculptures that dot the urban landscape. They show how sport and local identity intertwine in this place.
The two pairs of figures are easy to find since they stand at the two main stadium entrances and are clearly visible. You can visit them on any day, but non-match days offer a more relaxed atmosphere for photographs.
One of the figures holds a package of kabanos sausages, a popular Polish meat product, which connects local traditions to modern football. This detail adds a humorous touch while linking the artwork to everyday local culture.
