Château d'Allivet, Medieval castle in La Côte-Saint-André, France.

The Château d'Allivet features a large main building with a northern wing that formerly served as stables and extensive surrounding parkland.

Philippe I of Savoy ordered the construction of this fortress in 1273 to defend the town against potential attacks from Dauphiné soldiers.

The castle's interior auditorium hosts performances during the annual Berlioz Festival, which takes place at the end of August.

The castle and its grounds serve as a venue for various events, with multiple halls and outdoor spaces available for both private and public functions.

Artist Johan Barthold Jongkind created numerous watercolor paintings of the castle during his stay in La Côte-Saint-André in 1878.
