This commercial structure built at the end of the 13th century received official historical monument status by decree on April 23, 1925.
The weekly Thursday morning market continues a centuries-old trading tradition under the vaults of this medieval hall in the center of town.
The hall stands on Place de la Halle, accessible via the Transisère transport network and next to the town hall and Hector-Berlioz Museum.
The exceptional dimensions of this hall make it one of the largest medieval market structures still intact in France.
