MacArthur Park, Municipal park in Little Rock, United States

MacArthur Park is a 36-acre green space in downtown Little Rock with brick walkways, winding paths, and a fishing lake. The grounds offer different areas to explore, from open lawns to tree-lined routes.

The park began as a military arsenal site built in 1836 when the federal government provided funding for its development. It was later named after General Douglas MacArthur to honor his significance to the region.

The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts sits within the park and displays works by regional and national artists. Visitors can spend time with both contemporary and classic pieces throughout the year.

The park is open to visitors daily, and there is a pavilion available for events. You can best explore the different areas on foot to fully experience all the paths and the lake.

The Tower Building, originally built in 1840 as arsenal headquarters, is where General Douglas MacArthur was born. The structure tells the story of the site's military past and its later importance.
