Camel's Back Park

The park spans 11 acres and features tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, exercise stations, playgrounds, and hiking trails leading into the Boise foothills.

Acquired by the City of Boise in 1932 from Bernard Lemp, the park received substantial development support from organizations like the National Guard and Rotary Club.

The park functions as the primary location for the Hyde Park Street Fair and serves as a starting point for numerous YMCA running events throughout the year.

Four tennis courts occupy the eastern section of the parking lot, with regulations ensuring that one court remains available for public use at all times.

During winter months, the lower section of the hill transforms into a natural sledding area when snow accumulates on the ground.
