Escalade Buoux
Escalade Buoux is a climbing area in Provence featuring pale limestone cliffs. The site spreads across multiple sectors with more than a hundred routes ranging from beginner to advanced difficulty.
The area was developed for sport climbing in the 1980s and has since become a popular destination in southern France. Its reputation grew as climbers discovered the variety of routes available across the cliffs.
The best climbing season runs from spring through fall when temperatures stay comfortable and the rock remains dry. Bring plenty of water and seek shade in the cooler sections during the hottest parts of the day.
The area also appeals to boulderers with numerous rock blocks offering lower heights for practice. These boulders allow climbers to train without setting up full ropes and anchors.
