Luge Trail, Summer toboggan attraction on Sentosa, Singapore
Skyline Luge Singapore is a summer toboggan attraction on Sentosa Island, with several downhill tracks carved through a wooded hillside. Riders sit in small gravity-powered carts and steer using a handlebar system that also controls their speed on the way down.
The Skyline Luge brand started in New Zealand and later expanded to several locations across Asia, with the Sentosa site being one of its most visited. It was developed to offer a different kind of outdoor activity on an island that was already home to beaches and theme parks.
The luge is one of the few outdoor rides in Sentosa where visitors control their own pace, choosing how fast or slow they go. This sense of control makes it a favorite for families with children of different ages riding together.
The experience starts with a Skyride chairlift that brings riders to the top before they descend on the luge tracks, so no hiking up the hill is needed. Weekends and school holidays tend to draw the biggest crowds, making a morning visit on a weekday the better option.
After dark, the tracks are lit up and open for a Night Luge session, turning the ride into a completely different experience under artificial lighting. This evening option is popular enough that it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends.
