Resorts World Sentosa, Integrated resort complex in Sentosa, Singapore
Resorts World Sentosa is an integrated leisure complex on Sentosa featuring multiple zones that include Universal Studios Singapore, Adventure Cove Waterpark, and the S.E.A. Aquarium. The property covers 50 hectares (about 120 acres) and combines hotel rooms, restaurants, shops, and entertainment offerings under a shared entrance plaza.
Construction of the property began in 2007 with an investment of 6.59 billion Singapore dollars and opened its doors on January 20, 2010. The project transformed part of Sentosa into a large-scale tourism hub that has since drawn millions of visitors.
The Maritime Experiential Museum displays objects from the era when ships connected Asia with distant lands, tracing routes back to the 15th century. Visitors walk past reconstructed ship hulls and maps that show how traders once crossed the ocean.
The complex is reachable by Sentosa Express monorail, dedicated shuttle buses, or private vehicle through Sentosa Gateway. Individual attractions lie close together, allowing visitors to walk between them, though a full day helps cover everything.
The S.E.A. Aquarium holds marine life in 45 million liters of water, ranking among the largest saltwater facilities worldwide. Visitors can watch manta rays and sharks through floor-to-ceiling windows that create the feeling of standing directly in the ocean.
