The white two-story mansion features European architectural elements with large windows, spacious verandas, and high ceilings throughout its structure.
Built in 1918 by Syed Shaikh Alkaff, the mansion served as a residence and social gathering space during Singapore's colonial period until World War II.
The mansion hosted numerous multi-ethnic social functions in the 1920s and 1930s, bringing together Malay, Chinese, and European communities in Singapore.
Located at 10 Telok Blangah Green, the mansion houses three dining establishments: Wildseed Café, 1918 Heritage Bar, and UNA restaurant.
The mansion sits on former Mount Washington land, purchased in 1916, and offers views of the surrounding park and Singapore's southern islands.
