Tiger Sky Tower, Observation tower in Sentosa, Singapore
Tiger Sky Tower was a 131 meter tall observation building on Sentosa Island with a rotating passenger cabin. The cabin moved through a complete rotation over several minutes to show views in all directions.
The structure opened in 2004 under a beer brand name and was renamed in 2008 to reflect a different sponsor. It operated as an attraction until its permanent closure in 2018.
The tower served as a symbol of how Singapore markets itself to travelers seeking modern attractions and regional views. It reflected the island's role as a crossroads between several countries in Southeast Asia.
The cabin held about 72 passengers and took 8 to 10 minutes to complete a full rotation. The experience was fully enclosed, protecting visitors from weather during the viewing time.
On clear days, visitors could spot three separate countries from the top: Singapore, Indonesia, and parts of Malaysia's Johor Bahru region. This cross-border view was what made the location genuinely special.
