Siloso Beach

Siloso Beach is a sandy beach on the western coast of Sentosa Island, extending about 500 meters with clear waters ideal for swimming. The shoreline is lined with palm trees and provides space for sunbathing and water activities throughout the day.

This beach developed in the 1970s when Sentosa transformed from a military base into a leisure destination for visitors. The conversion turned it into a key recreational area that continues to draw crowds seeking seaside relaxation.

The beach hosts international sand sculpture exhibitions where artists from around the world create large-scale artworks on the sand. Visitors can walk among these temporary creations and watch artists at work during the exhibition periods.

You can reach the beach via the Sentosa Express monorail to Beach Station or take free shuttle buses that run regularly throughout the day. These convenient transportation options make getting to the sand and water straightforward without needing a car.

The sand is imported from outside and regularly replaced to keep the beach looking fresh and inviting year-round. This ongoing maintenance effort reveals the work behind maintaining a perfect swimming environment in this tropical setting.
