Flying Fox, Zip-line adventure center in Unterreit, Germany
Flying Fox is a zip-line facility in Unterreit, Bavaria, where participants glide between connected platforms through forested terrain. The site offers 3 separate routes with a total of 18 platforms, each traversed in sequence.
The facility was built some years ago in a part of Bavaria that had not previously offered aerial sports of this kind. Since then, the area around Unterreit has gradually become a reference point for outdoor activities in the region.
Flying Fox is one of the few zip-line venues in Bavaria that offers separate routes for different experience levels. First-timers and more practiced visitors can each find a route that suits them without sharing the same course.
Closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are necessary since the course runs outdoors through forest. Safety equipment is provided on site, so visitors do not need to bring their own.
Each of the 3 routes follows a different angle of descent and reaches different speeds, so the same visit can feel quite different depending on the route chosen. Trying all three gives a noticeably different reading of the same forested terrain.
