Au Fil des Arbres, Adventure park in Blacé, France
Au Fil des Arbres is an adventure park nestled in a forest of fifty-year-old Douglas pine trees at 600 meters altitude, offering nine courses that vary in difficulty. The layout includes numerous climbing stations with safety lines that run continuously throughout, with obstacles and elements positioned from ground level up to about 17 meters high.
The facility was established more than 20 years ago and has developed as a destination for outdoor adventure experiences. The operators have worked to maintain the natural forest environment in the Rhône department while expanding recreational opportunities.
The location draws on France's heritage of outdoor recreation in forests, bringing together traditional activities with modern climbing methods. People of all ages find ways to explore the woodland setting and challenge themselves physically.
The site sits roughly 15 minutes from Villefranche-sur-Saône and about 40 minutes from Lyon, making it convenient for day visits from the region. People of ages starting from about 3 years old can participate in courses suited to their ability level.
The park includes a freefall drop of about 15 meters where visitors descend in a controlled way through a harness system. In addition, several extended zip lines stretching up to 200 meters let people glide through the forest canopy from different points.
