La Foret des Vert'tiges, Adventure park in Pau, France
La Foret des Vert'tiges is a tree climbing park set within an old oak forest near Pau, equipped with multiple courses winding through the branches. These routes run at varying heights and difficulty levels across the canopy, offering walks and challenges that move through the treetops.
The park was built within a century-old oak grove in the Bastard forest, which long served as a recreation area for local people. This woodland has roots as a place where residents came to spend leisure time, now refreshed through the modern park concept.
The site reflects French traditions of outdoor recreation, where nature and physical challenge are woven together in a single experience. Visitors encounter a modern take on woodland use that merges leisure and adventure into one space.
The park is open from April through October, with longer hours during July and August for the best visitor experience. Equipment is available on site, and trained staff provide guidance for guests aged three and older.
Visitors walk along three kilometers of elevated paths that wind between the ancient oaks of the region. Along the way, the Ayguelongue stream becomes visible, flowing beneath the forest canopy below.
