Bassin Aventures Accrobranche entre Bordeaux et Arcachon, Tree climbing park in Gujan-Mestras, France
Bassin Aventures is a tree climbing course facility with around 28 different routes set throughout a pine forest, featuring obstacles at varying heights between a few meters and approximately 17 meters high. The courses accommodate different skill levels and physical abilities.
The park opened in 2007 and underwent major renovation in 2013 when new management took over, significantly expanding the range of activities and courses available. This transformation made it a much larger recreation facility.
The site uses the forest as a teaching space where visitors encounter marked points and learn about the local pine woodland while navigating the courses. Educational elements are woven into the climbing experience itself.
The facility opens from April through November and provides equipment rental and safety instruction before each activity. A continuous lifeline system protects climbers throughout all courses.
Beyond the standard obstacles, visitors encounter specialized aerial courses that incorporate boats, bicycles, snowboards, and treehouses suspended between the pine branches. These unusual features make the experience more memorable than typical climbing parks.
