Nordsee-Camp Norddeich
Nordsee-Camp Norddeich is a campsite in Westermarsch II near Norden, offering pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes in an open coastal setting. The grounds have sanitary facilities and play areas for children, and the North Sea beaches and dunes are within walking distance.
Norddeich started as a small fishing village and grew into a popular coastal destination over the course of the 20th century. The arrival of tourism infrastructure, including campsites and ferry connections, changed the face of the area considerably.
Norddeich sits on the East Frisian coast, where the mudflats shape daily life and the tides set the rhythm of each day. Many visitors spend their evenings outside, watching the water and getting a direct sense of coastal living.
Weather on the coast can change quickly, so packing warm layers alongside sunscreen is a good idea. The campsite and nearby Norddeich are easy to get around on foot or by bicycle.
Ferries to Norderney and Juist leave from Norddeich and reach those islands in a matter of minutes. This makes day trips to two otherwise remote North Sea islands surprisingly easy from the campsite.
