Waloseum

The Waloseum is a marine museum in Norden featuring displays about sea life in the North Sea region. A large sperm whale skeleton forms the centerpiece, with information panels and interactive presentations explaining the animals that live in these waters.

This facility was founded as the only state-supported center for marine mammal care in Lower Saxony. From the start, it focused on treating injured seals and conducting research about them.

The exhibits show how coastal communities depend on and care for sea life in their region. Visitors experience displays that reflect the deep connection between people who live here and the animals they share the water with.
