Miramar
Miramar is a campground with about 275 visitor spots and 300 year-round residential spaces on the south coast of Fehmarn Island. The site sits directly behind a dune with immediate beach access and offers rental units as well as spacious pitches for tents, motorhomes, and caravans.
The area has a long history as a seaside retreat where visitors returned year after year to enjoy calm beaches and simple beauty. Over time, the site developed into a modern facility that drew both short-term guests and year-round residents.
The name Miramar comes from Spanish and means "view of the sea", reflecting the site's location right on the coast. Visitors experience a relaxed beach culture here, where families and friends spend evenings at the beach bar and enjoy the simple, laid-back way of gathering together.
The site is easy to reach, located just a few kilometers from the town of Fehmarn with a nearby bus stop and simple access via the main road. The beach with shallow water near the shore works well for children to swim, and a large outdoor pool is available a few kilometers away.
A special feature is the dedicated dog beach section where animals can freely enter the water and sand. This makes the site a rare destination for dog owners who want to spend a beach vacation together with their pets.
