Camping Walkyrien
Camping Walkyrien is a campground on the Baltic Sea coast in Germany, located in Schashagen on a small hill overlooking the water. The site spans about 10 hectares with grassy pitches separated by hedges, walking paths, and open areas where tents, caravans, and holiday homes are set up.
Camping Walkyrien developed as a leisure site in this coastal region to draw visitors seeking seaside rest. Over time, the grounds grew into an established destination for families and nature enthusiasts.
The name Walkyrien references Nordic mythology and the heritage of this coastal region. Visitors use the grounds for family time and outdoor activities, gathering near the water and walking the quiet paths together.
The grounds are easy to reach by car and sit near a main highway, while a bus stop lies about 1.5 kilometers away. The nearby beach is accessible via a staircase from the cliff edge and offers roughly 400 meters of sand for walking and swimming.
Stone groynes on the beach help protect the shore and channel the water, showcasing local coastal engineering. Dogs have their own designated beach area about 2 kilometers away, which makes this site special for pet owners.
